Ron Weasley Costume – Become Best Friends with Harry Potter Halloween 2009!

Ron Weasley is Harry Potter’s best friend and is also best friend to Hermione Granger.  A key member of the Gryffindor house and excellent at playing Quidditch, he is one of the main characters in the Harry Potter series.

This is the perfect costume to put together if you have a group of people who want to dress up as a different Harry Potter character.  The following are essential for creating your Ron Weasley costume:

A Gryffindor Robe – Ron, Harry and Hermione all wear the traditional Gryffindor robe. There are some really great Gryffindor robes available online for this Halloween. We found the following Gryffindor robes in both the kids and adult sizes. If you don’t want to buy a Gryffindor robe, any black robe would work and you could print out the Gryffindor crest on your computer and get iron-on transfer paper and iron one onto the robe.

A Red Wig – Unless you have red hair, make sure to get yourself a red wig at a local costume store or online.  If you want to be really adventurous, you can also dye your hair red.  Make sure to add a few freckles along the way!

Ron’s Wand – If you haven’t already noticed, Ron always carries a magical wand. This wand is identical to the one you’ve seen in the Harry Potter movies.
